Send the bore, rod, stroke and pin spacing, plus make, model and failure photos. Ask whether the shop needs the cylinder before it can quote the repair.
Can the repair happen at my site?
Describe where the machine stands and whether the damaged part can come off. Ask about a site visit, access needs, travel charges and current availability.
What should I confirm before approving a rebuild?
Ask what the assessment covers and whether the quote includes seals, machining, replacement parts and testing. Agree on approval before extra work starts.
