Questions

Powder coating FAQ

What should I send for a coating quote?

Send photos, part sizes, quantities, the metal and its current condition. Include the colour and areas that must stay uncoated.

Is stripping included?

Ask whether stripping, blasting and masking are included in the quote. Tell the shop what finish is on the part now.

Can I choose a custom colour?

Send the colour code or a sample. Ask which colours the shop stocks and whether ordering powder changes the price or timing.

Good to know

  • Ask whether tyres, bearings and other attached pieces need to come off before drop-off.
  • No Cambridge shop we checked posts prices for this. Send a request to compare quotes.
