Questions

Sandblasting FAQ

What should I send for a blasting quote?

Send photos, sizes, weight, quantity and the metal. Show the current coating and say what finish you plan to apply next.

Which blasting media should I request?

Ask the shop to choose media for the metal and current coating. Point out thin panels and surfaces that must stay smooth.

Can the shop coat the part afterwards?

Ask whether priming or coating is available and included. Confirm how the part will be stored or packed between blasting and finishing.

Good to know

  • Arrange the next coat before drop-off, and ask how the bare part will be protected.
  • No Cambridge shop we checked posts prices for this. Send a request to compare quotes.
